Round (4) of the AUS/NZ WTCC was run last night at Salzburgring, all in all it was lots of fun. Happy to report everyone made it through the first chicane with out incident, needless to say if there wasn’t any mayhem we’d be sorely disappointed. Leading the way was our very own Phil (chooka) who obtained the highest marks for style and degree of difficulty . hehe! definitely one for the 2018 hall of fame. “chop away phil”.
Race One Results
Congratulation to all the podium from both races, “well done guys!” With round 4 all over and done with we turn our sights to Moscow Raceway (Russia). Covering a distance of 2.443 miles / 3.931 km this very technical layout will prove to be hard on both machine and drivers and with points getting very close on the leader-board finishing is a must. My guess is the drivers will be putting in the hard yards this week to make sure they can make it home with tyre and fuel settings. With the current format proving to be a bit tricky to gauge as some races you can go the distance and some you can’t. Only time will tell.
Race Two Results
Judging on results below and only six rounds remaining, one big incident could turn the tide. Our current front runners are John Bradshaw, Phillip Booth and Chris Mackenzie. Can’t wait to next week, should be lots of fun! Till then keep well! and we will catch you all tack side.
